The bleed air ducts I've handled were aluminum alloy, and more lightly
built than a drain pipe you'd find under a sink. (But more expensive,
heh heh.) They aren't under great pressure, about 50 psi. A regulator
right beside the engine reduces the air pressure as it's bled from the
compressor.

Try putting "bleed air" in a search engine. I just tried that on Yahoo
and got a ton of relevant hits.
