 | Actually, compressor bleed air is used for either heating or cooling. As it comes from the compressor, it is hot. If it is ducted through a heat exchanger and expander before it enters a cabin it is cool. Since the compressor is before the combustion section, there is no CO or CO2 unless there is a compressor stall, and that is rather rare on airliners, though not unheard of. Often times if there IS a compressor stall the plane is returned to the ramp for engine check. Also, turbojets put out very little CO.
