I dont know if this has been sent here before, but I have a feeling you
would at least get a good laugh out this fellows unique use of legos.

To think, all this money used to buy positioning and alignment tools could
have been saved AND have something to teach the kids with. ;)

I have a Lego labjack sitting here on my desk that I made before I
even knew about these pages. My design is different, based on pics
in the Melles Griot catalog.

Lego's rule....but for pieces of plastic they get expensive quick.

Nice pictures.

Haven't seen these particular ones before, but the use of Legos for
optomechanics is an old notion--at least 20 years that I know about.
It's an idea that shrinks on you--Lego has some good features, but
unfortunately stability isn't one of them.

It is a long tradition. We used to use PlayDough to hold optics on the
table.
