This isn't standardised language but descriptions of useage. What has been taught is lexicology so that lexologists can then compile dictionaries describing usage. They do not standardise the language. Non of it has aught to do with Scots being taught. I wadge all the lexologists at the SND did university courses with 'English' somewhere in the title.
