There was a story in the Herald yesterday which said he made a lot of claims
to Edzell but didn't explicitly say why until it said that he has relatives
in Aberdeen. I guess it was implying that he made personal trips to Aberdeen
and claimed to journey up to the town on the boundary with the next region.

There's also something in the Scotsman about him making petrol claims when
he was supposedly on the Isle of Man.

Maybe he was taking part in the TT races.

Frae Auld Bob Peffers:
Then again - he was, perhaps, studying how a small country managed as an
independent unit, (Yes I do know what it actually is).
