Hi All,

Anyone know of a local company that offers erasing/degaussing services for DLT
tape? I have some that I want to use with a DLT 1 drive. After getting some
used tapes, I found out that they need to be fully erased or the DLT IV format
will be rejected by the drive.

Thanks,
Mark

Try calling Iron Mountain (formerly Arcus and "The Vault" here in San Diego,
now
part of the big company We use them for our off-site storage of media and
they
offer the service (to us, anyway, we're a customer...)

Thanks for the tip. Hadn't thought of them. I called on Tuesday and got
directed to someone who called me back to direct me to someone else who hasn't
called me back yet. lol. Since I'm not a customer and not interested in opening
an account, I probably won't get a call back.

Thanks,
Mark
