IGNORE HIM.

Well, I read your post about Bart Bailey and I decided to try the Cajun
Place next to the Waterfront. The place is called Bud's, they are
located at 2034 Kettner Blvd. Their telephone number is (619)
239-4210. I took my wife to Bud's for lunch, day before yesterday.
They had a special on fried catfish and a Ceasar salad or fried oysters
and a Ceasar salad. I got the catfish, and my wife got the oysters.
We both ordered a cup of their seafood bisque. I must say that the
bisque was some of the best that I have had in San Diego in 15 years.
I wish that I had ordered the bowl instead! The catfish was fresh and
cooked properly, I think they use Dixie Fry for the coating. It was
good, but I can't get too excited about any fried fish, it is just
fried fish. I liked the Ceasar salad. They use a vegetable peeler to
do the parmesian cheese on top, so you get decadent curls of cheese, I
like that. We both had a couple of Dixie beers with lunch, I think the
whole deal was like $31.00, certainly less than I thought. I would
have to say that Bud's is a good place to go for cajun in San Diego.
It might be a fun place to start Mardi Gras festivities, before the
parade.
