 | A LIVE OAK TREE
By a winding lane rising high above there's a spreading live oak tree, with reaching limbs that twist and turn and gnarled on every knee.
From ages past, it stood this spot while people come and go. It spread its branches to the sky as the years passed by below.
If all the things could be retold that occurred beneath this oak, what memories now forgotten would emerge beneath its cloak?
Would all then know who Catherine was that here first took her chances and who it was that carved her name low on one of the branches?
