 | 1) What's the Japanese term for the type of long 'o' in hiragana that's written as "oo" ('o' + 'o')? What's the English term for the said?
2) What's the Japanese term for the type of long 'o' in hiragana that's written as "ou" ('o' + 'u')? What's the English term for the said?
Thanks in advance, Ashley
P.S. As the "oo" and "ou" long 'o' spellings in hiragana are case-specific, rather than interchangeable, I've referred to there being two types of long 'o' in it.
