Hello all,

Thanks for all of you who have submitted their Surname Interests on the
Forest of Dean Genealogy Pages Website. So far we have received 200
different submission and it is growing everyday.

If anybody has made any successful connections using the searchable list
then please let us all know as we would love to hear from you.

Chris O'Sullivan is the one who sorts out the database for me to put on
the Website and is really the person behind all of the project. Stay
tuned as Chris has a few more ideas up her sleeve to assist all FOD
researchers that will be coming soon.

A couple of people have sent an email to me saying that they were
getting a error message "Unauthorised Access" when trying to search the
database. It think I've worked out the reason why this has been
happening. It appears that some people running certain Firewalls on
their computer have them configured in a way that is prevents normal
internet processes to work. All is explained on a link from the Surname
Search page.

While you are on the Website don't forget to check out the Message Board
as we are getting plenty of postings on it. May be you have a query or
you just want to say that you have called by. Whatever it might be we
welcome you to leave a message. Give it a try, somebody reading it out
there might just have the answer.
