 | Could someone lookup the birth of Janet PENTLAND for me please?
She was born about 1850. (She was 19 when she married on 15.12.1868 in South
Australia).
According to her marriage record her father was James Pentland, but another
source gives his name as Robert Pentland of Melbourne.
Still another source gives him as Robert Pentland of Williamstown, Victoria.
I had thought that this might be Williamstown, South Australia, but neither
he nor Janet has been found in the South Australian BDM index.
Any details found about Janet's parents and any siblings would be a bonus.

| Hello Ian,
The only PENTLAND in Williamstown, Vic was William PENTLAND, solicitor who
died 16 Sep 1882 age 76, his wife Rosa died 9 July 1886. I don't know if
they had children, sorry.
