Can anyone help me. I have a friend who I'm trying to help find her
grandparents names. I thought not a problem as her mother was born in
1899. Not only can I find the parents by looking at 1891 & 1881 most
likely find another generation as well.
When I looked at the index of 1901 I only come up with a infant and 4
yr old child.
The name is Hughina DONALD in Northumberland. It has Cambois as birth
place and Bedlingtonshire. If I take off shire I do get 3 couples, but
reference numbers at the bottom of the page are different.
Can anyone help me find Hughina parents name and ages so I can look
them up on earlier census. I hope they are not in a children home or
is it mistake with the entry.
Thankyou.

Hi Chris,

I checked Ancestry, but she does not show up there, probably not complete
for Northumberland yet.

She could be with grandparents or other family, best bet would be to pay to
download the image.

Thanks Ray,
I think I'll have to get my friend to pay for a image so we can find
out who is with Hughina and it looks like a brother William in 1901.
Ancestry don't have Northumberland as yet so, it's not likely anyone
can help. Thanks for looking.

Hi again Chris,

As a long shot I checked for a Hugh Donald in Northumberland in 1901, in
case Hughina might be named after father Hugh.

At Bedlington there is the following family;

William Donald, Head, Married, 45, Coal Miner, born Scotland Lanark
Ellen Donald, Wife, Married, 44, born Scotland Lanark
Hugh Donald, Son, 20, Coal Miner, born Northumberland Cambois ?
Agnes Donald, Daughter, 17, born Northumberland Cambois ?
Margaret Donald, Daughter, 15, born Northumberland Cambois ?
John Donald, Son, 13, born Northumberland Cambois ?
Elizabeth Donald, 10, born Northumberland Cambois ?

Perhaps Hughina is a younger child of this family, or perhaps a child of Hugh ?

Some of the family appear to be at Cowpen in the 1901, John and Margaret,
but I couldn't see William or Ellen or Hugh.
