 | Thanks. Interesting thoughts. I work with a Filipino-American man, his parents are first generation, who and his two brothers all volunteered to fight in Viet Nam. Generally I've found F-A's to be more patriotic than most white Americans.

It's more accurate to say that 1st and 2nd generation Americans are more overtly patriotic than are those whose families have been here longer.

My dad is a big Republican even though he has no clue why.
