| There's two types of Americans.. there's the kind that talks and there's the
kind that does...
Bush, Clinton and Cheney are classic example of the big-mouthed talkers.
When they had a chance to serve their country in the glorious struggle to
bring Freedom, Democracy, Apple Pie and General Motors to VietNam, they had
"other priorities".
As General Smedley Butler, USMC (twice winner of the Congressional Medal of
Honor) said of war.. "There are only two things worth going to war over..
one is our homes.. the other is the Bill of Rights... everything else is a
racket."
One of my sons is a Captain in a combat unit near Mosul.. he said the other
day he would like to come home and let one of the Bush kids take his place.
Another of my sons is an E-6 in Korea... on a previous tour of Korea, that
time on the DMZ, was when Bush made the idiotic "Axis of Evil" speech... I
asked my son what he thought of it. He said "Dad.. I just figured Homer
Simpson was writing Bush's speeches."
And so it goes.

| Even though I served in Nam, I was young and naive, but picked up real
quick. It wasn't "our" war. We just weren't doing the right things there.
Period! We got lied to just as the public was. If I had know what I know
today.... I wouldn't have enlisted.
Clinton was a bit different, he didn't stand on a pulpit and proclaim
America as the New Freedom and Democracy Messiah!
