Listeros,

INAH is studying a Maya text of 260 glyphs that is the first script
dealing with the life of a high priest, his blood sacrifices and
penances. The text is carved on a series of seashell earrings and
manta ray stingers found in a burial urn with the remains of the
priest. The urn was found 11 years ago in Comalcalco, Tabasco. He
lived in the 8th century CE. One of the glyphs has the date
corresponding to January 31, 771.
