Ethnicity 'affects' influence of diet on diabetics

A new study finds that despite the general belief dietary
patterns have varying effects on different individuals based
on their ethnicity and gender.

Despite the fact that Japanese Americans weigh less, they
are more prone to type 2 diabetes compared to their
Caucasian counterparts, the study found.

According to the study published in Diabetes Care, obesity
and excess weight do not explain the elevated risk of type 2
diabetes in this population.

Compared to Native Hawaiian women, the effect of the fat-
and-meat diet is reported to be strongest among overweight
men and overweight Japanese-American women.

While diets high in vegetables can protect Japanese and
Caucasian men, such an effect is not reported in Native
Hawaiian men or women of any ethnicity. Diets rich in fruit,
milk and yogurt, on the other hand, are more beneficial in
women.

Scientists concluded that ethnic disparities account for the
discrepancy found in the effect of diet on the risk of
diabetes, independent of body weight, stressing that
different individuals do not benefit from similar food
products.

A government, of Israel, by Israel, and, for: Israel.
But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light:
for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. The light shineth in darkness;
and the darkness comprehended it not. The light of the body is the eye:
if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness.
If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead,
and Christ shall give thee light. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
