Athens, Greece, 5-7 May, 2010, http://www.setn2010.gr FINAL CALL FOR TUTORIALS DEADLINE: Friday, December 4th *Apologies for cross-posting* Scope and Aims ============== The Hellenic Conference on Artificial Intelligence is organised biennially by the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society (EETN). It has already been established as one of the most prominent forums for Greek and International AI scientists to present original and high-quality research on emergent topics of Artificial Intelligence. SETN 2010 highly encourages international participation and the language of the conference is English. The 6th Hellenic Conference on Artificial Intelligence (SETN-2010) will be held in Athens, Greece, 5-7 May 2010. SETN-2010 is organised by EETN, the Hellenic AI Society, in collaboration with the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications at NCSR "Demokritos". The conference includes a tutorials session on May 5th, which aims to inform undergraduate and postgraduate students about the current state of affairs of AI research as conducted by scientists in Greece and worldwide. To this purpose, the SETN-2010 tutorials session will strive to offer conference attendees and local participants a stimulating and informative selection of tutorials reflecting current theoretical as well as applied AI topics that have a relevance to any of the scientific topics of the conference. A focus on AI in the field of Cultural Heritage preservation, curation, and presentation is encouraged. Venue ===== SETN-2010 will be held at the conference centre of the Eugenides Foundation, Athens. All areas of the conference centre are fully accessible. Submission Instructions ======================= Tutorial proposals, as well as the tutorials and the accompanying material, must be in English and can be submitted by emailing the PC Chairs at tutorials@setn2010.gr Expect explicit confirmation of receipt of your submission within two working days, otherwise please assume that your email has not been received. Tutorial proposals must include the following information: - The name, affiliation, and short resume of the tutor or tutors. The resume should be restricted to the points that are most relevant to the proposed tutorial (not more than 1000 words per tutor). - The title and short description of the structure of the tutorial, broken down in four units of 45 minutes each. - The intended audience for the tutorial: * What background will be required of the audience? * Why is this topic important/interesting to intended audience? * What is the benefit to participants? - Informal evidence that people would attend, such as related workshops, previous venues where the tutorial has been held, etc. Important Dates =============== Proposal submission 4 December 2009 Notification 15 January 2010 Tutorial material ready 30 March 2010 Conference 5-7 May 2010 The tutorials will be held on Wednesday, May 5th, 2010.
