JAMA. 2010;303(5):430-437 SIDS Linked to Low Levels of Serotonin

In 1985 (copyrighted and registered), I first suggested that low DHEA may
cause SIDS by reaching such low levels during sleep that brainstem
activation fails. You may find my explanation of SIDS in:
http://www.anthropogeny.com/Sleep%20and%20SIDS.htm .
It is known that DHEA increases serotonin. Since this report found low
levels of 5-HT in the brainstem of SIDS victims, I suggest this may be due
to low DHEA.
