German military deaths on the Western Front 1939-1945: =C2=A0367,000 That's right! A paltry 367,000 A no-brainer, isn=E2=80=99t it? Let's at least be honest and admit that the Allied contribution was a bit of a joke. A sideshow, nothing more! And as far as the laughingly entitled Second Front is concerned... There was no significant German opposition to the Allied =E2=80=A8landings = at Normandy. Simply put, it was a cake walk for the Allies: 1) Not *one* allied plane was shot down by German fighters =E2=80=A8during = D- Day. (because there were none) 2) There were five landing beaches: Utah; Omaha; Gold; =E2=80=A8Juno and Sword. Twelve men were killed "storming" Utah beach. .........That's right! *12* men. (Some invasion LOL. What a fucking picnic) Why? because all the Germans were in Russia where the real =E2=80=A8fightin= g was taking place where division after division were =E2=80=A8chewed up by t= he Russians as the Wehrmacht tried to hold a =E2=80=A8two-thousand mile front against relentless Soviet attacks. Hitler was forced to bolster his garrisons in the west with old =E2=80=A8me= n and young boys together with the remnants of second =E2=80=A8rate Hungarian and Romanian divisions shattered on the =E2=80=A8Russian front. The fact is, *all* German resources were engaged in trying to =E2=80=A8stop the inexorable advance of the Soviet forces. Any student of history will tell you that the Normandy =E2=80=A8landings didn't contribute one jot to the destruction of the =E2=80=A8Nazis. The Western allies could have stayed at home for all the good they did. But don't take my word for it... "Marshall Zhukov".
