Natural 55 2-suiters as 2-bids

ACBL GCC question...

If I eliminate 55 or higher 2-suiters from my "natural" bids and move
them to the 2-level [ie 2D = diamonds plus higher, 2H = h+s or h
+clubs, 2S = spades and clubs], ENSURING THAT THEY MEET minimum hand
openings for a 1-bid [8+pts] - would they not then be considered
natural? IE allowing them to be 2-suited without the second suit being
defined.

So, for example, I open 1S with 8+pts but it denies a 2-suiter [55 or
longer], I would assume that the 2S bid could naturally show a 5=1=2=5
hand. For the same reason, I deny 55 in the majors with my 1H or 1S
opening, then 2H could naturally show 8+pts and 5h + 5other.

It seems to me that once I keep my 2-level bid UP TO STRENGTH for a 1-
level bid, it should be considered an extension of the 1-level bids.
